Jon Ravenelle is a Senior Consultant at InfraStrategies with over a decade of ​professional ​experience. He focuses his practice on financial planning and financial strategy ​development, federal formula funding programs and funding administration, and ​regional transit governance.


Prior to joining InfraStrategies, Jon served as the Transit Funding Director for the ​Atlanta-region Transit Link Authority (ATL), where he led the stand up and development ​of the ATL as a new state Authority focused on regional governance within the 13-county ​metro Atlanta region. In that role, he led the evaluation and analysis of transit funding for ​the ATL’s Regional Transit Plan, developed recommendations and strategies for projects ​to be funded through the newly created Georgia Transit Trust Fund, and lead the ​administration of ATL’s role as Designated Recipient. Additionally, his team led the ​development of a Regional Zero Emission Fleet Transition Report and the development ​of the ATL RIDES app, an implementation project funded through the Federal Transit ​Administration (FTA) Integrated Mobility Innovation (IMI) Program.


Prior to joining the ATL, Jon spent three years at the Georgia State Road and Tollway ​Authority (SRTA) where he managed the federal grants program and transit capital ​funding program of more than $150 million, securing over $85 million in discretionary ​funding, including $60.5 million in Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust funding ​and numerous FTA discretionary grant awards. Jon began his professional career at the ​Georgia Senate Budget and Evaluation Office where he led the budget development, ​review, and evaluation process for the Transportation and Economic Development ​Senate Appropriations Subcommittees.


Jon has also been an Instructor of Record at Georgia State University where he has had ​the opportunity to teach first-year students a Philosophy Critical Thinking course. Jon ​holds a Master of Public Policy and a Master of Philosophy from Georgia State University, ​and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from Merrimack College.
